Perhaps the most conspicious form of love in Seoul are The Everlasting Locks. I never visited the fence with locks from couples all over the world. I know its supposed to symbolize the "power of love."
To me, the only either/or about love is its existence. You either love someone or you do not. Perhaps I attach as easily as a lock to a fence, but once I welcome someone into my life, romantically or platonically, they will always be there, somewhere. There doesn't need to be some extra physical evidence. I dislike ostentatious displays of love not out of cynicism, but of optimism.
